Florecitas
Interested in becoming a part of something bigger than yourself while celebrating your Quinceañera? Are you wanting to build long lasting friendships while also giving back to the Tucson Community? Participate in the Florecita program and join a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime.
Botoncitos
If you or your daughter is 14 years old, she can participate in the Botoncito program. Botoncitos will build a strong bond while preparing to become Florecitas next year.
Why our program vs. A traditional Quinceañera?
The purpose of the Fiesta en Xochimilco Ball is to raise funds to allow the League to continue its mission of providing scholarships to students to help them fulfill their dreams of higher education. The focal point of the ball is the presentation of the Florecitas by their parents or parent figures. A young lady can come celebrate her 15th birthday/Quinceañera in a special culturally-traditional way. Being a Florecita is not just the dance but a whole experience in which she participates throughout the year. The Florecita will attend a spiritual retreat, be honored, along with her mother and/or grandmother in a tea luncheon, serve the community on several events, and finally, celebrate a Catholic Mass of thanksgiving and the presentation at the formal gala. The whole experience will create unforgettable memories that will have an indelible impact in her life. Many of the League’s members are former Florecitas or have shared this experience with a young lady in their family.
